Vince Ballesta

One of my favorite projects during the third year was designing our own typeface. I wanted to push myself into making a serif typeface since I harly ever use serifs. I enjoyed the meticulous and unending process of making a typeface. If I had to choose my future job, it would probably be between two different options: editorial designer or typeface designer. These two specific things are what I enjoy the most about design. I simply enjoy the process of designing spreads and creating a typeface. Third year has taught me so many things, and I am glad that I got to experience this year with everyone.

Heiress is designed as a display font, intended for larger point sizes. Similar to other fashion, it embodies a big, bold, and loud style. As it draws inspiration from fashion, it’s best suited for print use, especially within magazines.
